What is a Bootcamp?

A Bootcamp is an event organized to allow people who share common interests and/or activities to meet, where they will attend lectures, participate in debates, learn about projects and products, and attend practical workshops. These activities aim to transmit essential knowledge about these themes, in a short space of time, taking place in a training environment, collective or collaborative.

The concept of Bootcamp, which can be loosely translated as “boots on the ground”, originally derives from an instructional method used by the US military to train troops, which brought soldiers together in specially prepared environments with high-intensity training activities, in context.

In its current derivation, a Bootcamp is a type of intensive training or training activity, which is designed to impart the knowledge necessary for a specific specialization, in a reduced period of time.

How is this level of knowledge transmitted and reached in such a short time?

The key is a focused agenda, small groups of people and a total immersion in the activities, which include short talks on topics of interest, debates, practical workshops and demonstrations.
